“Client-first isn’t a strategy. It’s our standard.”

In a world full of likes, who’s really loving you?
A sharply crafted short film unraveling influencer illusions, one overcooked pasta dish at a time.
Pookie Pasta is a satirical short film that takes aim at modern love in the age of content. Set in a glossy resort made for Instagram, the story follows a social media power couple whose curated vacation slowly devolves into emotional chaos. With every photo snapped and every video retake demanded, their smiles stretch thinner—until the cracks beneath begin to show.
“In a world where everything is captured, nothing is truly felt.”
The story revolves around two central characters: the off-camera boyfriend—quiet, patient, increasingly withdrawn—and his partner, a bubbly, on-trend influencer whose life revolves around brand deals, hashtags, and constant validation. He captures every frame for her grid; she forgets to look him in the eye. Together, they seem perfect—but the film peels back each layer to reveal how far apart they’ve grown.
Burnt pasta becomes a recurring metaphor—meals prepared for the camera, not for each other. Waterlogged selfies echo a relationship drowning in performance. Even the silence between scenes speaks volumes. Pookie Pasta doesn’t shout—it simmers, letting the tension stew until the final bite.
🍽️ Scene Highlights
- 📸 Cooking Chaos: A pasta vlog partnership collapses mid-shoot as the kitchen turns into a battlefield of missed cues and scorched pots.
- 💧 Underwater Disconnect: An aesthetic underwater shoot becomes awkward as they float apart—mirroring their emotional distance.
- 📱 Breakfast in Silence: Over cold coffee and fresh filters, neither can find the courage to say what they’re really feeling.
- 🪞 Final Shot: She perfects her pose. He lowers the camera. Neither speaks. The silence is louder than any post.
- 🎬 One Take Too Many: A sponsored outfit change leads to an argument caught on a muted reel—one they’ll later pretend never happened.
- 🍷 Two Glasses, One Sip: A romantic dinner shoot ends with untouched food, a half-hearted toast, and two people scrolling through different worlds.
The film finds humor in absurdity—ring lights by the beach, drone shots during meltdowns—but never lets you forget what’s at stake: intimacy. It gently exposes how digital validation slowly replaces real appreciation, and how we sometimes lose the person we love to the role we ask them to play.
Pookie Pasta isn’t just a parody—it’s a cautionary tale. A reminder that not every memory needs a filter, not every meal needs a hashtag, and not every relationship can survive being turned into content.
“Some stories get filtered. Others get forgotten.”
